Ali Fazal on Big Screen Return: ‘Coming Back to Theatres Feels Like Coming Home’

After a hit web series like Mirzapur, an acclaimed film like Khufiya, and the Hollywood film 'Kandahar', actor Ali Fazal is once again returning to the big screen. His two upcoming films - Mani Ratnam's 'Thug Life' and Anurag Basu's 'Metro... In Dino'are going to release in theaters soon.

Talking about his comeback, Ali said,

"Returning to the cinema hall is like returning home for me. Working on OTT over the last few years has taught me a lot - series like Mirzapur and films like Khufiya challenged me as an artist. But the experience of big screens, cinemas is something else. When hundreds of people simultaneously watch a story on the big screen, live its emotions - no other place can match that feeling." He further says, doing Thug Life with legends like Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan is like a dream come true. Working under the direction of Mani sir is an achievement in itself, and sharing the screen with Kamal sir is a great honor for me. When I started acting, I never thought that I would get such an opportunity. The way the industry has accepted me touches my heart." "Metro... is very close to my heart even these days. Anurag Basu's stories have a different depth, and it is a privilege for me to be a part of this film. This film is a beautiful glimpse of human relationships and emotions.”

Concluding, Ali said, “The time spent on OTT made me a better actor. Now that I am returning to theatres, I am bringing those experiences with me. These films have stories from my heart, and I am extremely excited to share them with the audience.”

'Metro...' With the release of In These Days and Thug Life, Ali Fazal's return to the big screen is being touted as one of the highlights of the year.
